Job Description

A Cashier of HUBS is to provide a great atmosphere, exceptional service, and serve fantastic food. Each is the primary point of customer contact. It is up to them to provide our customers with an excellent experience by providing fast, friendly and efficient service and by delivering a quality and consistent product every time, in a clean and inviting environment.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare quality finished products (handhelds, plates, deli items, salads, soups, etc.) efficiently per HUBS procedural standards.
  • Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety of our store.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards, including wearing clean Hub’s uniform.
  • Comply with store security and safety standards.
  • Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
  • Handle raw and finished food & waste according to established procedures.
  • Make customers happy, feeling welcomed and appreciated.
  • Greet customers once they have entered the store.
  • Engage in friendly conversation with customers in line.
  • Act with a sense of urgency toward all customers in the shop.
Other Key Functions
  • Restock dry/paper goods line, deli, cake display, and all front house coolers.
  • Work multiple stations (deli, cake display, steam table, ice-cream, milkshake, customer food prep and cash registers).
  • Clean counters, deli, cake display, steam table, milk shake machine, ice-cream cooler, front inventory areas, etc. as HUBS procedural protocol states.
  • Operate cash register and credit card processing machine, handle, balance and follow all cash handling procedures.
  • Make Assistant Manager, General Manager and/or Owner aware of any customer complaints to ensure they are handled in timely and hastened manner.
  • Make sure customers feel welcome and are satisfied with their experience at Hubs.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years in fast food service, retail or hospitality industry
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Preferred – deli and/or bakery experience.
  • Preferred – 2nd language: Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Polish, Filipino, Assyrian, Spanish etc.
Experience, Education and Behaviors
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to work for a minimum of one year at Hubs.
  • Must be friendly and customer service-oriented.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess neat and clean hygiene and follow professional image guidelines.
  • Ability to handle a knife confidently.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to have friendly attitude with all employees and work well with others.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate in English via verbal and written communication, such that employee can perform his or her job responsibilities.
